About GMC Solar
A division of GMC Developments Ltd. Family-run, Berwick-based, and trusted across Northumberland and the Scottish Borders since 1976.
Our Story
GM Craig Building Contractors was founded by George M. Craig in 1976. For nearly fifty years, the company has been one of the most trusted names in construction across the Borders region.
In 2010, under the direction of Neil Craig, we added solar panel installation to our services. It was a natural fit: our team already had the roofing expertise, electrical qualifications, and scaffolding capability that solar work demands.
Since then, we have completed over 200 solar installations. From 4-panel domestic systems on terraced houses to 150kW arrays on agricultural barns, every project is handled by our own in-house team. We do not subcontract. We do not use sales agents. When you call GMC Solar, you speak to the people who will be on your roof.
GMC Developments Ltd is the parent company, with divisions covering Solar, Construction, Property Services, and Developments. Our registered office is at 1 Longstone Court, Ramparts Business Park, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1FA.
