This privacy policy explains how SolarReach ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website or request a solar quote. We are committed to processing your data lawfully under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

1. Who we are

SolarReach is an online solar quote and lead qualification service for homes in North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Installations are delivered by our accredited partner GMC Solar (GMC Developments Ltd), registered office 1 Longstone Court, Ramparts Business Park, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1FA. 2. Information we collect

• Quote enquiry data: name, address, postcode, email, phone, monthly electricity bill, roof orientation, photos you upload
• Property data we look up on your behalf: EPC certificate data from the UK Government EPC Open Data API, roof and solar potential analysis from the Google Solar API
• Technical data: IP address, user agent, device type, cookies and similar identifiers
• Marketing attribution: where applicable, Meta Pixel identifiers (`_fbp`, `_fbc`) when you have consented to non-essential cookies

3. How we use your information

• To prepare your solar quote and pass it to our installer partner GMC Solar so they can contact you
• To follow up on your enquiry by phone or email if you have asked us to
• To improve our service and measure the effectiveness of our advertising
• To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

4. Lawful basis

Where you submit a quote enquiry we process your data on the basis of taking steps to enter into a contract at your request, and our legitimate interests in providing the service. Marketing cookies and analytics that are not strictly necessary are only set with your consent.

5. Who we share your data with

• GMC Solar (the installer who will quote and install your system)
• Google (Solar API and Places API, to assess your roof and validate your address)
• UK Government EPC Open Data (to retrieve your EPC certificate)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Supabase (encrypted database hosting for your enquiry)
• Meta (only if you consent to non-essential cookies, for ad attribution and conversion measurement using hashed identifiers via the Conversions API)
• Vercel (website hosting and edge logging)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. How long we keep your data

Quote enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, then deleted or anonymised, unless legal or accounting obligations require longer retention. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights email us at info@gmcraig.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. The essential cookies make the site work and cannot be switched off. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them on the banner shown when you first visit. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
