Available Funding
- ECO4 SchemeFully funded solar for eligible households with EPC rating D-G receiving qualifying benefits. Extended to December 2026.
- Heat Pump + Solar PackageIf you install a heat pump, HES provides up to £7,500 grant plus £1,250 each for solar PV and battery. Rural uplift available.
- 0% VATAll residential solar is VAT-free until March 2027. Saves around £700 on a typical installation.
- Smart Export GuaranteeEarn 4-30p per kWh for excess electricity exported to the grid.
Note: the standalone Home Energy Scotland solar PV grant ended in June 2024. Solar is still accessible through ECO4, the Heat Pump + Solar package, and the 0% VAT rate until March 2027.
